They’ll say he was coached or something lame. The furthest they could really go would be to confirm Jung’s collective unconscious theory by saying they can broach into dreamscapes.
Science is about exploration and discovery, not pointing fingers and mocking others for their beliefs. A true scientist would say the reason science can’t prove magic exists is because they haven’t figured out how to prove it yet. Doesn’t mean it can’t happen, only means they haven’t found the proper way to study it so far. Furthermore, if you can’t accept the possibility, you don’t have anything to explore. Science depends on imagination.
Okay, so Nicole accepts that Tibetian monks CAN rip their souls out of their bodies and create astral projections with years of training after all, but Alex can’t just because of his limited mental abilities?? I thought she’d say something along the lines “Astral projections and witchcraft… bah!”
Okay, now as a med student I have to say…Alex does NOT have a sleep disorder. Last I checked, he was able to fall asleep and wake up. He’s not falling asleep during the day. He hasn’t gone into siezures. I think Nicole needs to widen the diagnostic net a bit here…
They are related. Multiple possibilities for why they would have the same disorder. Sleeping in the same location(s) would give a high probability of seeing similar thing in normal dreams.
Uh….yes?
Yes, indeed. 🙂
Ooh, burn.
Of course his souls not flying to planets! … its flying to dreamland. 😛
Which MAY be a planet or a moon, or a land… of dreams….
More EGB/JC references! All we need is a green princess….
Not another planet…another dimension…
Just digging that hole Deeper Alex.
okay you guys and gals can diss nicole however much you want she is a b****
No she’s not a b**** she’s a scientist and traped within the blinders of science. I’d say she’s more the Scully to Dan’s Mulder.
But how will she respond when they come up with some scientifically verifiable evidence? Perhaps via Joey?

But if he has a sleep disorder, wouldn’t that mean he DOESN’T sleep?
“But if he has a sleep disorder, wouldn’t that mean he DOESN’T sleep?”
Even narcolepsy is a sleep disorder. If you don’t know what narcolepsy is, I highly recommend you look up “Rusty the Narcoleptic Dog” (video).

Alex, you notice how they are talking about you and around you, as if you weren’t even there?
Well, ole chum, that’s because – intellectually – you’re not.
You’ve officially fallen into the intellectual weight class of “Furniture,” which is slightly below “Plankton,” and slightly above “Floor Polish.”
Your membership card will be in the mail on Monday.
Nice poster.

Or even better,this:
”There is no scientific proof that the soul exists”
I usually don’t like to spoil the ‘magic’,but hey..there’s a neuro-scientist in this comic..so you had it coming(meant in a nice way) =]
Was already thinking along the line that maybe now would be a good time to mention there is a reason for thinking that?”
Second picture far left. Indiana Jones poster.
Maybe Joey could get the phone # of one of his little friends
