I suppose if you had to choose between cross-eyed and walleyed, I’d choose the former. Besides, she might have to change her gaze to look through the refraction of separate dimensions.

PLEASE DO expand upon the story one day. AGAIN, i am almost in shock as to how you manage to keep this fresh. if the quest becomes a bit predictable, you change things up – the indian-ish centaur story line was also awesome! amazing. so enjoying every right now! (including SOPA day bc you rock!)
I would like very much to see a short spinoff story of these two. Even seeing more of the centaurs would be neat, too. So many peoples I’d love to know more about in your world. Thank you!

Okay…is it just me, or does Niviene look like she’s raised out of the water a little (note the darker area that starts just below her shoulders) while still being underwater? Is she actually raised through the viewing pool surface but still underwater to Merlin? Or is that just supposed to be where the light falls brightest on her?

Its so cool to see Merlin as a young, debonair, lady’s man. You have chiseled away at the old, burdened, stone of a wizard and found this gem hiding inside. Well done, Scott!! KUDOS!

I know this is just a little picking of nits, but….
I’m amazed at how well groomed the edge of a random pond in England is…..the grass and ground stop precisely at the edge of the water. I’ve never SEEN such a well manicured lake edge…..
Now, we can explain it away as the whole dimensional portal thing, but then that pond would be hideously dangerous, and not just a curiosity.
Just a suggestion that a spot of bracken poking up through the water here or there might make it look a little less artificial…..and maybe some wet earth and small stones along the shores of the lake……

Well, she is looking across dimensions through a magical portal. It’s probably like one of those Magic Eyes things where you have to go cross-eyed to see the image properly.

That’s probably the case, I can remember at least one story where he talks with Uther as a boy.
Of course, there’s been about a half million stories about him, so that doesn’t really count for all that much. 🙂
