Page 1399…
We just got back from Philadelphia, PA visiting family for Thanksgiving.
What a wonderful city!
As I’ve said in the past comments…thank you all for being so respectful to each other in our comments. You’re all so truly amazing.
On that note…I had an idea (of course while I was away from home…in Philly) to do a “CYBER MONDAY” type of deal.
So…for this week only…if anyone buys Books 1-4 from the store…you get a FREE copy of BOOK FIVE!
http://bluedreamstudios.com/store.html
That’s any of the 3 specials. Books 1-4, Books 1-4 and Paddington, Books 1-4 and everything else.
ANY of those combinations…I’ll throw in a copy of Book Five…FREE.
The books come in some time this week (Book Five, I mean) and I was thinking this would be a great way to have a special for those who don’t have the books (and who didn’t participate in the Kickstarter).
Sound good?
Holy sea cow, The lady of the lake shows up? About darn time…
Why do I have a feeling the lady of the lake won’t be a fully cooperative ally of our heroes?
Well if you look at the Lady of the lake through the Arthurian Legends, she only appeared when it had anything to do with Excalibur. She was basically the Alpha and the Omega of the Arthurian Legend.
Technically she was the progenitor of all of them. Because Arthur had Excalibur, the sword he got from the lady of the lake (another name I have heard for her is Glasidgar, don’t ask), the sword of the king, he started up the round table, started unifying the area around his Camelot, and then just sat pretty defending a throne from every one who tried to take it from him, until his death at the hands of his son.
omglol the nivea totally helped her not age a single day!
I don’t know…. something smells fishy to me…
Something tells me the Lady may not be easy to find.
Also, according to legend, the water spirit who had so much to do with Arthur and Merlin in the end entranced and kidnapped the latter. She might still have him!
I see what you did there.
We need a pun jar to collect penalties from those who feel the need to play with and upon words…
The underwater looks awesome! Nice job!
Agreed, especially that first panel, nice depth of field Scott! ^_^
Ohhh, as puns go that was pretty sharp, good job! 😛
That first panel is truly beautiful. Nicely done.
so, assuming the legend is true (and since this is dreamland, probably is)… is it safe to assume Merlin is alive and well somewhere in our world?
Is there really so bad with playing a-pun words? ;D
Probably since she learned it FROM Merlin.
How did I not see this happening? Lady of the Lake, people of the ocean…it all makes sense, I was just too slow to figure it out.
Beautiful page!
Will book 5 be available in the iKids Comics app soon? I missed my chance to get on the kickstarter for the print version, but would love to get the digital version in the app…
I decided to take you up on your special offer (ordered for my cousin’s little girl who just turned 5…not sure exactly when they will tell me she’s old enough to appreciate it, so I’m holding onto the books and toys I’ve already bought with plans to give them to her over a period of time).
Anyhow, PayPal was being a little bit twitchy when I was placing my order, so if you see two identical orders from a Julie in Texas (one with a note and one without), then only one of those orders was intended. In that case, we’ll need to discuss how to cancel and refund the accidental one. Hopefully it only accepted one order though. 🙂
Luckily, Alex already has his sword of kings, so there’s no question of “supreme executive power” deriving “from some farcical aquatic ceremony.” OTOH, I don’t recall that there was any mandate from the masses–except that the mass of the sword almost toppled Alex when he first drew it from the stone in the tomb.
Linking the Lady of the Lake to the mer people is GENIUS!!
Thanks, Julie!
Only the one order came in.
I’ll get the books out as soon as I get the shipment of Book Fives in.
🙂
Thanks.
🙂
Thank you.
Yes. Should be in the next week or so.
