Making of the Dreamland Chronicles (Book Five)…Page 10…
Happy Monday, All!
Well…you did it!
I took last week to update you on our Book Five Kickstarter drive…and you raised over $3,000 in one week!
We reached our initial goal!
WOO HOO!
Okay…so now that we’ve got THAT out of the way…I just wanted to remind you that the ACTUAL costs are closer to $12,000.
So if you know of anyone who hasn’t pre-ordered the book…let them know we could still use the support.
The $9,000 only gets the books printed. I still have $1,500 worth of fees from Amazon and Kickstarter as well as another $1,500 in shipping books to everyone.
We have 30 days to do this. So I’m not TOO concerned…but figure you’ll be hearing about it for the next 29 days.
🙂
Thank you all!
On the Chapter 17 front…the script is almost all done.
We’re still working on assets (we travel to some new places and meet new people). So we MAY see new pages next week. Or at the latest…in 2 weeks.
Thank you for your patience. I hope you enjoy the making of pages in the meanwhile.
Scott
I always enjoy the making of… pages because they remind me just how much work it is to get these pages up for the enjoyment of all your readers. Thanks.
—avid reader.:)
And regarding books, when I don’t have to pay $3000 for tuition 2x/yr and $1000 for rent each month, I’ll be buying them all, plus extras, if still avail.
Congrats on cracking the target. Cant wait for the new chapter.
Lets buy these books people!!
Doing a graphic novel using CG software – it’s good to see these pages (as jonwaynew says), and I can appreciate how hard this is! You and your team are BEASTS!!!
Wow that second panel looks like a photo with all the details.
Hey, just to let you know I think someone over at Project Wonderful has their wires crossed… There is an ad for your comic on your page! You are being charged to advertise on your own site! Might want to get that fixed pronto.
I really think you ought to post the graph of pledges EVERY DAY until you hit $12,000.
Keep the daily pages of the behind the scenes, but below that in the Blog section, add the graph with the $12,000 mark highlighted as the “ultimate goal” shown above a nicely highlight “Kick Starter Goal Meet” line.
Just my 2cents
hey! I have an use that program!
Unparalleled accuracy, unequivocal clarity, and udneniable importance!
