Oh, great! That means flying ships and probably also sky pirates again! This sounds like great fun! I’m also keen to see what those guardians look like. As long as they don’t look like the sky city guardians from Zelda Twilight Princess (aka. Ooccoos http://the-games-master.com/game-files/2010/02/Twilight-Princess-Ooccoo-and-Jr.png), everything is ok with me.
CALLED IT YESTERDAY!!! Now that I have that out of the way… I find it appropriate that instead of just calling them angels or seraphs you created a unique name, and probably a unique look for the people of Seraphopolis. Now I can’t wait to see them.
Hate to be the one to always point out the flaws >_<. GREAT comic though, my absolute favourite.
That said, second panel is missing a word. might read "I am certain they are still alive" 🙂
I missed this when I was viewing this at 2 am while on my “lunch break.” lol
I can almost hear her pounding the balcony railing as she says, “Lies and misdirection!” in the first panel. Excellent job with the pose and conveyance of emotion though the dialogue, posing, and facial expressions (though, I think she could look even angrier yet as she says that)!
I almost jumped out of my seat when I saw the first panel, and I also heard her pounding the railing. Alex, I’d do whatever she says because she might kill you if you don’t.
Honestly, I think it’s perfect without any sound effects, it leaves it more to our imagination and doesn’t clutter up the page. A lot of times when people put in those sound effects in their comics, it annoys me rather than helping.
This is a NICE, hopeful page, but I’m not sure I follow Nastajia’s logic here. Nic kidnapped her parents, who may have been searching for Seraphopolis; that would seem straightforward. But unless the Guardians have been keeping an eye on Nic (while not doing anything to stop him), or her parents got to the City before Nic grabbed them, I don’t see that the City itself would hold hold any answers. Although trying to find the place themselves, and perhaps winding up following her parents’ course, would probably be a good way to start…
I think the Guardians are nuetral deities who don’t concern themselves with the everyday lives of Dreamlanders. As long as Dreamland itself still exists, they sit back and do their own thing. Personally, I think it would be awesome if they don’t cooperate with Alex and Nastajia and want them off Seraphopolis ASAP.
Nastajia: “It’s in the floating city where the guardians dwell.”
Alex: “We can’t search for them yet. I have to buy the Dreamland ‘Seraph’s wing’ expansion set!”

That last panel really does an excellent job of communicating the “far-away” look that I’m pretty sure you were going for.

Right. This being a fairy tale, thy most probably are alive.

Actually, it works just fine as is: I am certain they still LIVE. The last word being live, not alive.
I agree. Well done, Scott.
Last panel .. +1 for perfectly pensive face.
Like where this is going, Scott. Keep up the great work!
Scott has learned to use epic camera angles!

Ooh, the guardians. I’d forgotten that plot point. It’ll be interesting to see a new area and race in the next chapter. 🙂
Gardians? We’re going to see talking warrior owls now? XD
Thanks. I was going to add a “wham” or something for dramatic effect.
enter dramatic gopher

Nah, I doubt she’d kill him at this point – she has invested too much time in training him.
Of course, there are worse fates than death …
😉

i loled XD dramatic gopher is most appropriate in this scene, haha XD

Ack!! I’m on vacation ’til Saturday! I’ll donate as soon as I get home. 😀
Oh, okay, phew.
*Was afraid the ANSWER was going to be in the Land of Mordor, where the SHADOWS lie.*
LOL i laughed when i read this.
so i guess that is where their heading next. road trip! or boat trip really.
Agh! I’m sorry but I must mention the grammar error in the second panel. “They’re” or “They are” instead of just “they”.
Loving every but of this story by the way.
I thought eyebrows \ / with fist was “wham” in primitive sign language.
Nastajia: “It’s in the floating city where the guardians dwell.”
Alex: “We can’t search for them yet. I have to buy the Dreamland ‘Seraph’s wing’ expansion set!”
I’ve been thinking about that since they first mentioned Guardians…
