Except that there’s no necklace on the Dreamland side, just the Sword. And that fades when Alex awakes up. They might try having her hold it when he starts fading, but somehow I doubt that will work…
At this point it looks like their only options are to find the amulet Arthur was trying to make and see if it can be fixed to allow Earth adults to enter Dreamland (and maybe vice versa), or find who or whatever set Dreamland up and find out if they’re willing and able to let Nicole (and probably Dan) in…
Hmmmm. This presents a potentially BIG problem. Alex doesn’t want to be king, but apparently only the king can travel via the sword. So, either he’s king and gets to be with Nastaja or he’s not king and never sees her again. Unless the amulet works, as someone else pointed out?
It is my hope that they will still have his brother try the sword. It MIGHT work for him.
Also, about the pouch- why didn’t people just write on their skin? Or stitch things into their clothes? Clearly physical injuries (like from the pirate fight) carry over, and clothes, so why not marks?
I think the lesson to take home from this is:
If you have background characters wearing awesome clothing, then expect them to be noticed as being awesome ^.^

Putting in a video instead of letters would amazing…and drawing on your skin, tattoos, or even applying a fake one, or etching/stitching clothing….Could that be possible?
I’m guessing that will come in the next panel, hopefully… or all those months of friend-ship building will be for nothing.

I have to admit, though, that because of the directionality of the person in question, it looks like she just walked through in-between Alex/Nastajia and Felicity… Not exactly realistic, when we consider that just moments ago, Alex was reaching out and giving something to Felicity… any person walking along, and seeing that scene, would probably try to walk around them, so that even when Nastajia greets Alex next, that person would not be seen as if coming through from that direction…
Then again, I’ve never been much of a people person, so what do I know, right?
Regardless, it’s not something like that that will make me enjoy the comic any less. I’d say “keep up the good work”, but it sounds so condescending… still, I look forward to reading more.
Actually, I think her reaction is quite a natural one.
She sees Alex first, so she goes to greet him, and is glad to see him back. From the looks of the first panel, she just now arrived on the scene, and with the other people walking around, she had not noticed Felicity yet (easier to spot the tall guy standing there in shining, if battle-weary, armor, than the person sitting dejected on the side stairs, below the line of initial vision, and below the height of most people walking around).
Once she hugs Alex, she hears his tone of voice, and knows something is wrong. Knowing full well what they had tried to do, she immediately reacts to it, out of concern for Felicity.
He he he he he! At least the “undiscernable extra” that _I_ remembered was in full focus and in the center of the screen! I had to go back to 1310 to even see her in the first place – totally missed her back then! 😀 And is she BLURRY there…!!!
I think Felicity should be more careful with her Marsupilami tail. That is not a very “sad” pose, not even a very feminine pose. And it is placing her delicate tail in a quite risky position, should some happy person come up/down the steps.
Fully expecting Nastajia to be shredded like a catnip mouse next panel.
Response to Bezman: That could potentially be an amusing sketch at some point in the future; having Felicity’s tail get stepped on or caught in something. I don’t mean that in a mean way, just another opportunity to fit the ‘cat’ half of her description.

You can see her pretty clearly in the 5th panel on 1310 if I’m not mistaken. She’s got a dark green bodice on and the skirt comes off of it.
