Whooaaaaa there… is that a “Please click some ads” banner I see? Be realllly careful, as as far as I know that violates the contracts of most of the advertising companies (definitely Google) and will leave you permanently banned by any company that notices. I thought that only applied if the owner of a website was clicking on the owner’s own AdSense ads? At least that what our professor said in Digital Media class.

The legalese doesn’t even matter, though. Take a look at the link I posted earlier. Google will shut you down if your ad stats even *look* like people are just clicking for the money rather than being genuinely interested in the ads.

I believe Scott has looked into this before. He’s certainly been given this warning by other readers more than once, but I’m fairly sure that I saw him post something to the effect of “I’ve asked about this, and I can do it”…and I could be misremembering. 🙂

Well, she is a scientist, and as such has already collected the data from Alex that what you wear to bed is what you wear to Dreamland. I wouldn’t want to go wandering about in unknown terrain barefoot either. 😛
Dan should leave the room and take a walk. He’s tensing up the room with all his tenseness.
If she gets killed in Dreamland, she dies with her boots on, so to speak.
Now someone else gets to know how it feels to be watched in their sleep. and it just happens to be the girl.
She’s obviously really self conscious because she is being watched by Dan and Alex, so that might have something to do with it. I’m sure that she skipped most of her bedtime rituals, so she might not even have thought about the fact that she was leaving them on, since she is so concerned about so many other things first (including whether she will ever wake up afterward).
Hm. I see a blonde-haired person on the left page of the comic that Alex is reading… It could be Dreamland Chronicles… but the cover was white, not black. I’m leaning more toward My Grandparents are Secret Agents.
And she’s not about to be caught wearing smile-face boxers either!

The situation is this:
With the reminder to fans…$1,000/month from Google
Without the reminder…$34/month from Google
I figured…if Google decides it’s a breach…I’ve already earned an additional $6,000 we wouldn’t have had from advertising this year. So it was definitely worth the risk.
The difference is only in the clicks. The page views don’t change. It’s just that each click from readers gives us an additional $.30-$.50/click.
If Google is happy with the traffic we’re bringing their advertisers…they won’t say anything. If they no longer want to handle some of our ads…that’s fine too.
I really appreciate everyone giving me the heads up on this. It shows how much you all care. And that means so much to me.
But I’ll stick it out as long as Google allows (and my other advertisers actually LIKE it).
So if you’re feeling up to it. Click an ad or two each day.

If I click an Add, come back to your website and click it again, will it make you more money?
The top, side, and bottom ads…I think you can only click them maybe 2-3 times each a day. After that…it becomes click fraud.
No….ha ha. They don’t.
Also…had I spent the time on it…my wife would have wondered why I spent so many hours making Nicole’s boobs just right.

Sorry…but the Dreamland scene is taking a long time to render.
Since I’m down to only 2 render machines (since the virus on my fastest computer)…things have been taking a bit longer.
Look for Wednesday’s page by mid-morning.
Turn about is fair play. I bet Alex was sitting in the room for this reason alone, I know Dan is worried but I can’t see Alex actually sitting still for that long.

The fact that the comic is about waiting, and wasn’t up at the start of the day, only compounds its greatness. You, Scott, either attract lucky mistakes like a magnet, or are smarter than all of us put together.
The pants are too tight for her to lie down comfortably, and the bed is too stiff for her to just sink into it?

It’s frustrating. But Dreamland scenes are SO much bigger than the lab scenes in the real world.
And losing a computer to the virus really slowed everything down.

Looking at the images of Nicole lying in bed, something clicked in my brain. I can’t see any deformation of the mattress due to her weight. Unless this is a super-hard mattress (i.e. wood or steel or something), I would expect her heels, hips, torso and head to sink into the mattress and pillow a bit. Does it look odd to anyone else?

why wont they stop saying you will get banned you are not telling them to click on ads that they don’t want to click, if there not interested in that’s like the 10th or more i lost count that come here and say you will get banned yaydayd after you talked to them and got told by adsense that you fine as long as you don’t tell to click on a certain ads on purpose.. hope fully they will stop when they actually read this and understand that ad sense contract states as long you DO NOT TELL THEM TO CLICK ON ONE SPECIFIC AD at the time they come to your website this is click fraud..
its not click fraud when you ask them to take the time to click on ANY ad they find to there liking, curiosity and natural wanting to.

I had the hardest time reading your comment, even though its content is ok, I seriously hesitated when I saw this wall of text…
When I was doing polysomnography, (Nicole’s job) we had rooms with cameras. I’d just watch my patients from another room.
For those who are wondering, the cameras had covers on them in the rooms. The covers did not come off until lights out, so their privacy was maintained while changing clothes, doing paperwork, or doing whatever the patients did while in the room before I got them hooked up to the machines.
It’s such fun to read the updates every day and I am sure that it is actually the discussion about it that makes it so popular among the readers!! There is such an active discussion about the episode and it must be really exciting to keep guessing what is going to happen next!! It really hooks you to the series which is very clear from the discussions going on here!! I am really looking forward to what going to happen next!!
If these time stamps are accurate, +10 points for getting up before 5am just to check on the comic let alone fix it.
