I’m doing my best to work ahead.
So many of you requested a desktop of yesterday’s page…so it’s available to you through the donation link on the right.
Any amount gets you the desktop. So have fun.

Also…congratulations to Timo Rossi from Finland.
You’re the proud owner of the original print of Nastajia and Alex.
You should be recieving it soon.
Thank you all for reading. And we’ll see you tomorrow with more.
Have a great Thursday.
Scott
Hopefully it’s not too long a wait. That could get awkward after a while.
Well, they could just set up camp and eat something or discuss strategies, or reminisce on old adventures… there’s plenty of things to do. But I suppose the tension before a battle is rather unbearable (I always imagined it like going to a very painful dentist’s appointment and then waiting in the waiting room for too long – the tension just keeps building up…)
So far they seem to be doing it right. Whenever the plan is discussed only off-camera it has a better chance of succeeding.
Though this statement by Nastajia would seem to mean that things will be thrown off by Alexander’s difficulty falling asleep. Indeed, this will be very interesting.
“Please hold, the revolution you want to begin is being diverted”.
It’s not the problem of getting asleep in time. As mentioned somewhere early in the story, there’s no direct and constant relationship between Alex’s wake-up time and the time he’s away from Dreamland.
“We can not begin the siege until Alexander returns to Dreamland.”
Why not? His absences are definitely something that should have been planned for – “just start the revolution without me, if I’m not asleep…”
Certainly, he must have appointed generals to lead each army, or maybe they chose their own, but the point is, a leader has to delegate, and for Alex that is doubly important, as he can disappear at any time, leaving a big hole. If his allies aren’t prepared to fill that hole the whole thing is gonna go to pot pretty darn quick…
Unless they aren’t really planning to beseige the city, but to attack and overrun it. You might want him for that, I suppose. But a siege mostly involves cutting off a city/castle from supply and trying to starve the defenders out. Surely they can set up camp without Alex?
WOOT! epic army~!
During the battle it is entirely likely that will be the case. But for the very beginning it sounds like he’s a big enough part of how they want to start things off that it’s worth waiting a little bit. Might have to do with that whole thing with him being the rightful king thing, maybe they need him to declare the war in person? Just throwing out ideas here.
At last! We rejoin the adventure. Hope your hiatus was pleasant and profitable in every way.
I understand that Nastajia wants the furture king to lead his army, but they are all gathered on the outskirts of Astoria…Nic doesn’t need a Wraith to see a storm’s a-brewing and waiting for Alex will give him too much time to gather a counter attack.
For those wondering about waiting for Alex, look back a few pages to Dan’s plans (rhyme unintended; sounds kinda like “Blue’s Clues” … ). Alex is a critical part of the strategy!
This chapter looks very promising. I’d love to know how you make these pages.
Once again, Scott, I invite you into the RP I’m in. You have to register to see it, regardless of whether you participate. Just click my name.
This page is breathtaking, I can’t imagine how long it took to make…great colors…
Hrmm, why is Orion in the exact same position in the last two panels? He’s supposed to look like he’s moving…
…or a preemptive strike ๐ฏ
Very impressive! Too bad a wraith has already seen the playbook..
I’m still dying to see whether the wraith in the shadows saw the real plan or a set-up they were expected to see. Given the sword’s knowledge of the wraiths’ multi-realm abilities I’m hoping for the latter.
Things would be more interesting if they *did* see the real plan… this attempted overthrow will fail, of course, but then that gives the heroes the chance to learn more about the wraiths and ultimately deal with the root of the problem, instead of simply defeating Nick but leaving the wraiths still free to roam and instigate problems in the future.
As far as I can recall, I don’t remember the sword being aware of the wraiths. I find it likely that Nicodemus has a defense already set up.
Does anyone else find it ironic, or at least coincidental, that all three of us have the same pixie as our Avatar?
but scott i don’t have any spare money to donate…………
awe i want that desktop but don’t have any spare money to donate….
Oh, come on, Tiffany. Everyone has at least a penny.
Only the whole entire Dreamland revolution army waiting for you. No pressure!
PS: Welcome back Scott!! These pages so far look like they were well worth the wait, looking forward to it! And good luck with all the stuff going on~~
Finally caught up with the rest…
Man. I’m re-reading the series AGAIN! This is, what, the 5th time I’ve done so?
yeah but you can’t send change through the internet or mail.
Of COURSE you can. Paypal will take a penny.
But don’t worry. If you can’t get paypal…I’m still happy you’re enjoying the story.
Probably because of the heavy rendering time. Scott prides himself on not having to do partial renders, but he said before that time considerations had forced him to do so in the outside Camelot scenes. He said he would have to go back and fix if possible when time allowed.
Why do I get the feeling that they are going to get a unmerciful hammering at the hands Nicodemus, thanks to those creepy shadow lizards?
Doesn’t every transaction in Paypal end up costing someone something like 29ยข?
Yeah. me.
I think the lizard-wraiths evil counter-plan is to spike Alex’s drinks with caffeine.
This is shaping up to be a level of epicness not seen since the Assault on Azure City.
