Another thing I just noticed. How much Alex has to crane his neck to look up at them. If they are as big as i think they are, Paddington is still a little kid in comparison.

How much time have passed since Alex’s wake up and chatting with Dan?
I thought that Dreamland time pass slower than “normal” time, but here we can see that it is now daytime.
It should be on the ground off to his right where Nicodemus dropped it. Even without it, if they turn out to be unfriendly he can take quite a pounding in his armor.
As mentioned yesterday in my discussion of P.L.O.T. particles and quantum effects, time passage in Dreamland is neither slower nor faster than time passage in The Waking World; it seems to speed up and slow down somewhat randomly (which, I think, is pretty realistic; I’ve had dreams that lasted all night but only covered 5 minutes of “dream time”, and other dreams where I seemed to be spending weeks in the dream, only to wake up 5 minutes after I fell asleep).
well it looks like Nic has left the scene and Naj left a welcoming party for Alex when her returned…. We know Paddington is one tough Rock Giant soa whole crew I think Nic would think three or five times harder about messing about with Alex until Alex is ready to bring his army to fight Nic. I did remember a few pages back that Alex needed a army to fight Nic and not do the John Wayne/Clint Eastwood thing and fight Nic and his hordes or Nightmare realm baddies. So maybe Paddington sent word for the Rock Ent’s to stop by and speak with Alex on his return in hopes of getting them to join up.

Something about the one in the middle that made me immediately think of the tree people in LOTR. Is it the legs or the knees? Don’t know, but it was instantaneous.
I wouldn’t use smiles to judge whether they are evil or good. After all, not only do evil villains get all the best lines, they generally have an excellent dental plan for their minions.

It was very obvious that they are rock giants. It is also obvious that they are friendly. The only dreamlanders who HAVEN’T been friendly are the dwarves, and they came to their senses eventually.
That last panel hauntingly reminds me of when Sam Witwicky died and encountered the ancient primes within the matrix in “Revenge of the Fallen”. Epic win, dude.

smiles reveal the heart of a person. I’ve yet to hear of a bad guy with a real smile. You know, the bright, bubbly, cheery smile that brings light to everyone’s faces *smiles*

Alex is still crawling so they look taller. Also the slender ones look taller than the more round one that seems around Paddington’s height.

Yes. The way that I calculate the time passed (it’s very scientific, you know) is X times Y plus R minus the subparticle standard of P.
