The Making of Dreamland Page 34…
UPDATE: Check out Gina in Nastajia’s costume in Legend of bill today!
Hey all!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend.
We’ve only got a few more pages left of the Making ofs. And I’m still a bit away from finishing Chapter 15’s script.
I’ll keep you updated on the progress. But we may be putting up some guest pages for a while until I’m all set.
Last year really kicked my butt. And while we didn’t miss any days…I lost all of my buffer.
So I need to get a bit ahead so we can go another year (or however long this chapter will be) without any delays.
I hope you all have a wonderful week. And thank you for your patience.
Scott
Take your time. You rush a miracle you get a lousy miracle.
I’m in full agreement with Sparky, this work ethic is going to catch up to you. And lemme tell ya, your kids are only this age once, don’t lose the opportunity to savor that time. I just lost my father a week ago, he worked a great deal, but the time my four brothers and I did get to spend with him was precious.
Take your time Scott. Try not to think of all of us anxiously waiting for the new chapter. 😛
Looking forward to it when it happens!
Same. Take your time, Scott. You’re one of the few webcomic authors who strive to get the schedule kept and the story going with almost no interruptions. So, there. Interrupt. Take a breath. Rework your drafts as is to your liking. Build up buffer like the badass mad man. ^^
Looking forth to the new chapter. Its ready when its ready, as simple as this. No rush needed.
Ah. Nothing makes me smile in the morning like a good ol’ quote from Princess Bride.
Thank you.
🙂
Thank you Jay.
I’m so sorry for your loss.
Rushing a miracle? Inconceivable!!!!!
ah the interior looks great
Yeah, Scott: Take yer time!
Don’t want you breaking the “Dad machine”, nevermind the DLC head-honcho one.
Throne room looks awesome – it’s one of my favorite DLC environments.
Love those chains holding up the bridge.
I Still can’t find the voting thingmy link- am I daft or something?
-I’ll try to keep an eye on this page- didn’t last time I asked, and then forgot which page.

I *LOVE* the interior of Hilmdel. It’s as epic as anything in LOTR.
Please, take your time with the script. Epicness takes time.
Scott, Take your time… this break came at the perfect time for me; my son was born December 15th 7 lbs 5 oz.
when you come back, all your fans plus one new one will still be here!
Conga Rats on the new kid!
Tanks for covering for me; I’m still getting back up to speed after an unusually recreational weekend …
😉
(P.S. TWC seems to be having some problems right at this moment; don’t be discouraged! Try again later if you can’t vote right now … )
I responded to others, and almost forgot to say anything to Scott! 😯
Scott: I agree with the other comments about Hilmdel; I think this is my favorite setting so far in Dreamland! And I suspect that you already know by now that, although I haven’t been here all that long, I’m one of your staunchest supporters and I’m here to stay, so I’ll wait for however long you need.
Wow! Congratulations!
Welcome new little Dreamlander!
🙂
Thank you all for the support.
It amazes me how much more goes into each chapter.
So many parts that have to connect. So many personalities to contend with.
SO many sub plots.
But knowing you are all supporting me makes it so much better.
Thank you all!
Love the Dwarven interiors, as well! ‘Gasp’! Do I detect a little Tolkien influence on the Great Hall? Reminds me of Dwellendelf in Khazad-Dum from the movie “The Fellowship of the Ring”!
Thanks, technotreegrass!
TekServer:
Yeah, sometimes they have problems. I’ll just keep returning daily (at leat when I have computer access) to see if it works.
I agree, but Hey, what my Writing Fiction teacher said (or quoted):
Bad artists “Borrow”
Good artists *Steal*
I just hope that doesn’t mean this story is dead…There’s a big difference between all dead and mostly dead. Not that this story is even mostly dead.
I’d better quit while I’m behind…
😉
Thanks for the mention, buddy. 😉 and agreed – this is my fave DC setting!!
Hello!
I’ve stumbled upon this site because i’m a fan of the LoB story (and webcomics in general) and been curious where the unrecognized cameos came from. What can I say? I started to read the DC archives at around 6 pm, and now it’s 1 hour past midnight and no more pages to look… Curse you all! 😉 I mean, great work! 😀
Before reading some “behind-the-scene” stuff i have also had hard time to decide whether this is made with CG or with actual plastic dolls + digital afterwork, ’cause of the looks… 🙂
I’m not really into this ‘cute’ 3D style, but thumbs up, the characters and the scenery really _are_ great! I’d say it’s almost grown up to a niveau of a Pixar / Dreamworks film. ( weren’t for the low budget you have to work with 😀 )
Anyhow, just keep making it, it’s really worth the effort!
And a Happy belated New Year!
Dwellendelf. Then that was the name I was trying to remember. 😀 It’s just fun to see all the stuff that goes into this – especially when some of it’s background we hardly see but a handful of times.
I think that’s “Dwarrowdelf” 🙂
I love you guys. I don’t know why, but today was a long day of work, and there weren’t even any issues to deal with, but seeing those Princess Bride quotes totally perked me up. 😀
Scott and his friends do this completely CG. And, I agree- it would make a GREAT Pixar type film, if given the chance. As I understand it from reading through the comments left over the years, last year Scott had a deal all worked out to start production of it into a movie, but for some reason the producers just sat on it, which has been a bit discouraging to Scott and his family, but hope still abounds for the project!
For all readership: Please make it a point to show your appreciation for the comic by voting for it. The more votes it gets, the more serious people outside of ourselves might consider taking it.
Scott- as has been stated by many of your most loyal supporters, take your time, man. You gotta’ balance out work and family, and family should always come first. My dad spent all his time either working or playing on the computer and never really spent much time with my sister and I and I can’t begin to tell you all the things he missed out on. I would REALLY hate to see you repeat such a mistake with your own precious children.
“Lord, teach us to count our days and teach us to make the days count.”- Chris Rice (“Life Means So Much”; a lyrical take on a verse from Psalm 84)
OUCH!! DLC is down at #30! Please vote for Scott, people! And, you can vote- I just did!
Thank you for checking us out.
And welcome to Dreamland!
🙂
Let’s see…Dreamland MMO Admin Tools…create new account…what was the child’s name again?
Shouldn’t there be some combat debris from the engagement with Nicodemus?
