BEHIND THE CURTAINS PLAYLIST
Tracy does such a magnificent job of conveying emotions in the characters’ faces. <3 Her work is so subtle…it makes it THAT much more Alive.
The coronation at last!!! After Merlin, who’ll assume that duty with the next king of Dreamland?
It almost sounds like Merlin is talking about….Alex! He gave up being king, and gave up his home in the waking world to help Dan save Dreamland….
Agreed. I see a switcharoo coming up. Either from Merliln or Dan himself. Since Alex is within Dreamland forever it makes sense for him to be King. Dan is only there half time at best.
Well in the words of the Old El Paso advert girl…..why don’t we have both?
Dan looks quite pensive. I wonder what he is thinking about.
Also as some people know, I did the translation of the Dutch Dreamland. I would like to pick it up again, but only if other people are willing to look at it (at this moment it isn’t that used yet). Please let me know and I will finish what I have started. Possibly even a bit faster then I did before.
Yes, but if he and Nastajia will be together, won’t he be “king of the elves” as well, so I still think that Dan will be the best choice for it.
He does, doesn’t he? Darn near melancholy, in fact. I think he’s beginning to see the burden beyond the time of crisis.
Merlin’s last statement would scan better if he said ‘Humbling themselves to raise others up.’ rather than lowering.
Merlin is clearly a socialist. 😀
He would be the royal consort I think. Nastajia would become queen, but Alex has no links to the (very likely inbred) elvish royalty.
Their kid might be in the running for both king/queen of the elves and of Dreamland though.
Alex probably gets Nicodemus’ job as previously theorized if only because of the rules involved would mean Dan/Alex would have to abdicate and crown each other constantly. It just makes more sense to have a representative than to bogglesquart it.
I also thought of Alex but then I’ve always thought the way the rug and being king was pulled out from under him was unfair. I’ve finally made peace with it though and don’t need to see him as king to be happy with the end. He is a prince and if he marries Nastajia he will be king of the elves or still the prince of Dreamland. He can act as regent or viceroy maybe as well although both terms do not exactly fit.
Annnnd in a “game of thrones” style twist Alex draws Excalibur and with one unexpected stroke decapitates Dan, thus taking the crown and title of king for himself? Ok, probably not. I’ve never watched G.O.T. anyway.
Nevertheless, you’ve pretty much nailed the theme of it. =)
Technically, even if he tried, Excalibur wouldn’t work on Dan, since it only works on the actual human form.
Also, I’m glad this is not like GOT, from what I’ve read of it. This one can be shared with family, and promotes better values, rather than the apparent “Might makes right” of GOT. However, now that his run in Dreamland is over, Gilgamesh might fit in over there.
