And this is why you should lock the doors and windows behind you, only the shadow creatures should be able to get inside, the wolves and whatever they are, they should be outside, “Crap, they have locks, stupid humans” 😛
The breaking glass sound would alarm the neighbours, they would call the police
Hmm no martial arts skill, broken bat, facing Dreamland demons…. seriously hope she has a firearm in the house. If not, considering the way things are going and she survives this, she seriously needs to weapon up and start training in Grav Maga. Suggest a S&W “.38 Lady Smith” and a Mossberg 12 ga. combat shotgun to start with and move up from there as training permits.
It looks like this calls for Merlin and Niviene to emerge from the bathtup and save the day, as even Mom with a frying pan could not handle four of them. In a different kind of strip, the SWAT team that Nicole called in with her cell phone as she raced to the house would show up and fill the monsters with lead, but this is a family strip.
A fun alternative would be for Alex’s hockey team to arrive in response to Nicole’s call. Hockey stick mayhem!
Seriously, merlin, bamphing out into pure magic was self indulgent and poorly timed. You were so powerful, you could have helped, maybe passed your knowledge of magic onto Dan before going so it isn’t lost.
His dream self is in command of whether he’s awake or asleep. Even when he was choking, apparently, his preference was to stay where he was, probably because that’s where duty (as well as Alex) lie. I get the impression he’s unaware of what’s actually happening to his waking world body except for the effects it causes him in Dreamland.
Don’t give up Nicole! You are the fate of his life! Stay Determined!

Where did those guys come from? Deus ex Monstera.
At least she has a pointy stick now.
Three monsters against one girl… but a girl defending the boy she loves – I wonder if the monsters have taken that into account.
Nicole. Talk less. Hit from behind more. Abaddon have skulls the strength of glass.
If this doesn’t get Dan and Alex’s parents up, they sleep the sleep of the dead.
High Sticking! Blood on the ice! Let’s see it!!
She doesn’t have proper weapon. The hockey stick is not sturdy enough.
It’s about emphasis. She should emphasize every word with hit.

Where those other two hidden somewhere in the house???
That’s what I like to know.
Actually, the correct expression should be monstera ex machina. Otherwise you’re saying gods came out of the monsters. 😛

You are correct. But Machina starts with and M, so I put monsters over there.
TRIPLE OH NO!!!

How is he sleeping through all this?

Why does the hockey stick look hollow? Plastic I guess.
Should of been using a good ol’ fashioned wooden stick.
I thought Nivi put a spell on him so he wouldn’t wake up until he chose to awaken.
*plays “Save the World”*
The trope is “Diabolus ex Machina”
