Won’t that permanently trap Alex in Dreamland? He probably wont mind though being able to be with Nastajia 24/7. On the other hand Dan would have to explain all that to Mom.
There is no problem with Alex trepped in Dreamland.
Merlin have his magic power enchanced immensly so I suppose he can make some arrangements to create a “personal portal” for Alex.
Don’t forget that they still possess the centaur/native pouch, which can be used to send letters back and forth between Dreamland and the waking world. Alex could use this to help explain matters to his Mom through Daniel, something akin to “I’m with the woman of my dreams, and I am happy.” After all, that’s what a mother really worries about her son the most (or at least one of the biggest worries).
Also, if the magical plant was left in the waking world (forgive me, but I can never remember the name accurately), the pouch would also enable them to acquire one leaf a year for Gilgamesh as Daniel had promised too (even if ol’ Gil doesn’t take them up on that offer).
Problem is, in our world he would still be a missing person. People would be asking where he was. But I’ll be curious to see where the story goes. 🙂
I suppose trapping Alex in Dreamland is better then Nastajia following him to the Wakeworld and always having to explain purple hair and pointy elven ears, though she would become queen of the fantasy convention scene.
Do not forget the magic bracelet that Arthur had made just before he was trapped in limbo when the centaur mage was killed in Dreamland. That bracelet allowed adults from both sides to cross over to the other side. Merlin may have brought that bracelet back with him from Limbo.
Ummm… is ANYBODY else concerned by the line, “Our time on this realm is done, sweet child”…??? Please tell me this just means she and Merlin will cross over to Dreamland ? She just meant the realm of Waking world, yes?

That’s what I was thinking…!
Suppose Abaddon prevents Merlin from closing the portals forever?!?!?
I’m right there with y’all.
I hope Dan is okay. Also, closing the portals forever means Alex will most likely not be coming back.

Awww, that’s sweet!

Uh, doesn’t Daniel’s physical body still have some company waiting to open his entrails?
The longer the exit speech, the more likely that Dan is toast. Still not sure how I feel about it.

The thing mother worries most is grandchildren. I don’t think she would like that she will never see them.
I don’t think she would need to explain it too often. But she’s still better in her kingdom than working at McDonalds on Earth.

That story is told by the Sword of Kings at http://thedreamlandchronicles.com/comic/page-1131/
I’m not sure Scott would go all GRRM on us.
well at least i hope not

And then it happens. Que the Russel Crowe Gladiator meme: “Are you not entertained?!”
What would it be like if Nastajia joined Alex on Earth?
