Poor folks in Dreamland. What do you bet that his dream body will be gone and they’ll have a mild panic attack thinking that means the spell didn’t work? 😛
Why Felicity’s eyes glow like this when she’s speaking Mayan or a spell is what I want to know. I thought it was Merlin helping her out by putting the words in her brain, since I doubt she actually knows Mayan; but he didn’t say anything when they met, and it’s possible something else is going on. Hopefully we’ll find out, someday.
i dunno, but it looks like a distorted mashup of several non-roman languages. I can clearly see what looks like Hebrew letters in there among other symbols I can’t recognize
I saw some Japanese. I’m guessing that’s mostly eastern stuff. I don’t see any Greek or Russian… I think, and it really doesn’t look Arabic. There are a lot of Asian scripts that you hardly ever see.
I rather expected the “reading of the tablet” to get a *lot* more screen time than a single small panel (unless I somehow missed an update?) We’ve spent *years* waiting for this moment.
While I understand what you mean, the reading of the spell is not that interesting. The interesting part was the journey to actually getting the tablet. And of course what the spell will trigger.
The symbol that looks like a sideways U looks awfully familiar to me, but I can’t remember where I’ve seen it before. Anyone else recognize it? (I’m thinking it was part of a puzzle in a computer game — maybe Lost Horizon?)
As I said.
Well… this came to mind…

Oracle Bill. That has a nice ring to it. =)
What style font was used for Felicity’s spell?
Nice call!

hopefully it went missing because he woke up in the tree just in time to blast a bunch of beasties.
It would probably have been a good idea to say the spell where the body was.

I also see some plain Mayan numerals, number 101 being repeated many times, so this may be an artist’s impression of a Mayan text.

Some of the other symbols I’m fairly certain are inspired by Sanskrit, though they don’t seem to be exact matches to actual characters: http://www.omniglot.com/images/writing/sanskrit_cons.gif
Hey, I’ve seen that font before! I don’t know what it’s called, but it does make translation easier. Let’s see…
“I have not slept in three days hell yeah”
Get some sleep, Scott!
How it sounded in my head: “Ah-moan-durrrrrr”. Yes, I am a five-year-old in a 30-year-old body. Moving on . . .
They look like ancient Hebrew letters from when the prevailing language was Aramaic.
Okay, I stumbled across the name. It’s called the Alphabet of the Magi.

ha, that’s both hilarious and disappointing…
“We’re off to see the Wizard …”
Cool. Thanks a lot!
Noice! Guess old Paracelsus must have been a frequent visitor to Dreamland.
