Abaddon, guys, please, take my word for it. You do NOT want to bring that ship down and have to fight Nastajia hand to hand. At least with her just firing cannonballs on you, SOME of you are surviving…
But for the children it’s a big adventure. They saw Nastajia slaughter a whole pirate crew; what do THEY have to worry about as long as they’ve got her?
There’s no way they’d design that thing to be vulnerable to a few arrows, especially at that height, where arrows will have lost most of their kinetic energy.
In panel 3 you can see that the arrows are causing gas leaks, which would cause a slow loss in lift. Presumably the ship has extra gas storage, but there is a limit to that. We also see that while the Nightmare Realm sent off two armies, there are still plenty left in the Home Guard. And as for the children, they know this is a dream and to them this is now a game wherein they are paying back the Nightmare creatures.
World war 1, the english fighters shot up german airships, and the airships till made it back across english channel… in real world the hydrogen or helium filled bags are so much bigger than the holes that it takes a long time to bring down an airship.
The big smiles on the kids are a bit odd, as if “Yay, we’ll close up the wall with our English dead!”

Yay for the movie clip!

GIVE THEM NO QUARTER, MY BLOOD THIRSTY CUTIE PIES
What a shame: Some of the Nightmareans look pretty cute in their own right.
Re: Panel 1. Ya know, firing arrows at something directly over head is rarely a good idea. Cannonballs, too.
Just what I’d say to a bunch of 4-5 year olds, lol.

Arrows aren’t a problem. The holes are.
Then again, what do we know about the magic that keeps these heavy things flying with so little hydrogen?

How awesome is Nastajia leading a fighting group of children?
Hee. :p
