That was explained a long time ago. There was a portal on Earth where Dreamlanders and humans passed through freely centuries ago, but the portal was destroyed, leaving some Dreamlanders stranded on Earth and some humans from Ancient Egypt stranded in Dreamland. The humans kept to themselves, isolated from others, and became known as the Guardians. They kept their tradition and culture and we’re looking at their descendents.
Good grief! I really need to rebuild my comic-checking habit! 🙂 I had so much backlog to work through again. That said…REALLY hope that Alex was smart and tossed the immortality stuff behind him when he dove into the pool, but I have this terrible suspicion that it went with him and he may have dropped it in the portal cavern in Dreamland. Also, kind of weirded out that one of Abaddon was able to sneak into Dan’s house. I mean, I know that some of them are Earth-side…and they’ve been watching Alex and Dan, so it makes sense that they know where the guys live. It just bugs me that one was able to sneak in. Also also, I hope they can save Felicity! *is worried*
We got three feet of water in my house from the massive flooding in Louisiana, but my Dreamland Chronicles survived! My bookshelves did not tip and send them into a watery grave! They are one of the few book series that survived. I’m thinking of introducing my younger cousins to the series since both their houses flooded. It would distract them from the chaos while their parents help things return to a semi-normal state.
Hmmm…. Seraphopolians are Egyptian….Joseph was the dream interpreter to pharoah in the Bible. . . . does this mean Joseph is the original king of dreamland???
Joseph came well after Gilgamesh, who was around 3000 BC. (Actually somewhat after 2800 BC but rounded to 3000 in the story.) The story of Joseph is believed to have been added to the Old Testament about 700 BC. However, we may well see a reference to Joseph, as the Seraphopolis folk would have known that story.
I hope they’re able to heal Felicity…! :\
Humans! Nice! Looking forward to knoweing why they’re in Dreamland!

It would be sad if they didn’t.

Last time we saw the pot, it was in good hands:

And now the King and Queen of the Guardians will be presented with the Tablet that Felicity nearly died to obtain. One presumes they can read it.
And the pot even made it to Dan’s house after that: http://thedreamlandchronicles.com/comic/page-1894/
