I had to consult the Oracle of Googledom. It’s from the tale of Gilgamesh:
The possibility of avoiding death is the subject of an incident in the Epic of Gilgamish. After Ea-bani’s death, Gilgamish, in terror of such a fate, goes in search of Sit napishtim: ” I, indeed, will not die like Ea-bani ; woe hath entered my body; I fear death.” But Sit-napishtim tells him that he cannot escape the common lot, but there is a wonderful plant called sibu issahir amelu (“the old man made young to manhood “). Gilgamish starts in search of it, saying that he will eat of it and return to his youth. He finds the plant and comes on a pool of cool water in which he bathes, but a snake, a denizen of the spring, scents the plant and darts out and carries it off, leaving Gilgamish lamenting over its loss.
The plant restores youth. We haven’t seen that old age is a problem for Abaddon. The Dreamer, on the other hand… It is possible the Dreamer is VERY old, and Abaddon is desperate to get it for him to keep him alive.
Still with the Dreamer’s youth once restored, will Abaddon still order the takeover of both Earth and Dreamland enabling his armies to lay waste to both worlds???
Yup, this re-confirms what I figured out from the old CGI comics. The dreamer’s name DEFINITELY begins with a “G”. 🙂
You mean Gargamel?
Sorry, i cant resist.
btw. It took me a while but now i starting to love the new drawings. Thanks for your work.
What is “Sibu Issahir Amelu” that the creature speaks of?

With it,Abaddon ‘s nightmare legions will be marching over both our world and Dreamland?

I really like Abaddon’s forces’ designs in the new art style. I know it’s been said already, but they look so much more menacing (and cool!).
What is with the weird punctuation in the first bubble of that last panel?
Maybe it just halts aging… in which case he is basically screwed. =p
