Just curious…
Have I made it clear enough in the past that the Dwarves built the ships for the Nightmare Realm?
You probably have – but if so, I don’t remember it at all.
didn’t remember it offhand, but probably because 1700 pages XD
Jep, I assumed that too, from Dwarf’s statement. Very clever from them – Give your potential enemies what they want but make sure they can’t use it against you.
Yeah, you did. Paddington and Kiwi were hanging out and Kiwi asked if the rock giants were still around in the area. Paddington said no cause there was no more trees; the dwarves cut them all down for lumber to build the pirate ships, more out of greed for gold then a willingness to support the Nightmare Realm. It was years ago, sometime in Book 4, I think?
Well Bognok just went up in my book, dude just gave Orion an unintentionally heavy handed “pat” on the back. Haha. Awesome.
I like this guy. He didn’t make a good first impression, but he DOES grow on you. 🙂
I didn’t understand what Bognok was talking about when I read this page. Until I read the comments I had completely forgotten that the Dwarves built the pirate ships for the Nightmare Realm. Might not be a bad idea to have the characters clarify that point on the next page just to be sure readers of the hard copy won’t feel baffled for lack of the comments that we online readers have available.
yeah, same here.
It appeared so to me.
Reminds me of one of the Mythbusters’ mottos: If it’s worth doing, it’s worth overdoing.
Are we going to hop around a bit, see how Alex and Nastajia are doing?
Nice dreadnought, but…
With those dimensions and that mass, I’ll wager she’ll be a bit of a pig when it comes to maneuvering. She really needs to be the center of a fleet, with an escort group of smaller, faster, more agile ships to screen for her and harry her targets to keep them from evading her.
Just my opinion – I’m prepared to be proven wrong. With that size, she could easily carry a squadron or two of aerial skiffs, the equivalent of PT Boats. Nasty surprise if she holds off launching them at the foe until the last minute…
As Charles Ranier , if it was said or implied, it’s already forgotten.
That is the logic that everyone should follow. Never. Ever. Create something you do not know how to break.
I remembered it, but until this comment, I couldn’t remember exactly when you shared that nugget of info. 🙂
Truth!
Agreed! 🙂 I think Bognok’s logic is not only sound, it’s essential! 😀
Also this is Dreamland, with flying, agile dragons and walking talking mounds of stone. Physics and logic need not apply here, the thing could be as dextrous as a flying snake.
Exactly what I was thinking!
Smart guy, he is!
