Ok all… I leave for Heroes Con tomorrow. So I better get the next few days of pages ready to go.
As always…hope you enjoy these pages. I love the quiet times. So fun to do. So much can be said with body language….eyes…tilting of the head…etc.
I thought I might have something more insightful to say today…but…um…I can’t think of anything.

It took him that long to come up with “Dan would know”?!?! That’s SO typically Alex!
Although, I think the “Soon” is a bit superfluous. The two “quiet” panels, I think, are enough to convey that big pause.
This page is a work of art.
Hmm…. maybe it’s only me, but somehow I find it a bit awkward that in panel two and three Nastajia has the exact same expression on her face. Other than that, this page is great. I like the starry sky a lot. It reminds me of camping trips, when you’re in the middle of nowhere and can see practically every star in the sky.
What is on her mind I wonder? That expression in the last panel is very curious!
The first panel, the flames looks kind-of-weird. It looks like it is being forced out of the torch. Over all; it is sweet and sentimental than seeing a-lot of action.
I just realized this but for some reason the rendering for the last few panels are amazing. Like the textures seem more lively and such. Maybe it’s because it’s night time, who knows, but it’s awesome.
Scott, you should render paired views of some of these panels, one taken from a slight shift to the right, so we can do the cross-eyed thing and view it like those old 3D photographs 😀

I have to agree, she looks mischievous to some degree. She also looks rather bored in Panel 5. But I think the story is advancing nicely, even though I’d like to get some info on Felicity.
Yeh, I miss Felicity. But on another note, Scott is far behind the top ranking comics on the WebComic tally. And when I say far, I mean FAR! Anyone who reads this, if you enjoy this story more than any other that you are reading, please take a moment and vote for Scott’s. He’s up against some VERY stiff competition, but his story is the best of them.

Huh… that constellation there looks like the mighty wombat.
I think, this could be a hint, that his brother will join them. If not, Scotty (hope you like trek, too) could make a little episode where he gets the necklace and leaves his dreams confused or mildly shocked.
The ‘soon’ is alright, sometimes you can just skip these things, if there’s no big change from one page or picture to another.
Man, I’m just trying to read ‘Staj’s expression in that last panel. Just what is she thinking?

I like that he mentioned his brother at a time like this. It shows their connection as brothers who cared (if they don’t always show it) about each other. Plus it shows Alex being rather clueless.
Just thought I’d point out that you can vote for more than one comic in a day on TWC. At least I think you can; it lets you vote, but I guess it’s possible it only counts one. hrrmm….
Feeling a little sorry for Alex. Page feels like he is still slightly obsessing over the fact he doesn’t know his constellations. Sitting there under a starry sky with a beautiful elven princess it feels like Alex can’t think of what to say because he is too busy thinking of all the things that Dan would have been able to say about astronomy and mythology.
That look in the last panel has me curious as well. Very intriguing.

if i was her i would be like “OMG he is thinking about his brother.” or “why hasn’t he kissed me yet?” maybe she needs to make the first move on alex.

Yeah, I think in panel 3, she should roll her eyes towards him when he mentions his brother. Having her have the same vacant expression in both panels 2 and 3 is kind of awkward. Keep up the awesome story, Scott, and we can all hope Felicity is still with us!
I think the ‘soon’ is ok. I mean, we all know that time passes, but if you don’t point it out someone is sure to say “gee, they were just walking, did they teleport to that rock?”.
And I like her look in the last panel, like she’s seeing a side of alex that she likes or maybe caught him admitting something without him actually admitting it.
Just voted, and the only response i have to the picture that showed was..BWAH! I think i now know what those guards saw just before they went down 😛

To tell the truth, I don’t really think the ‘soon’ was needed. The first two panels are enough pause in my opinion.
This is romantic. Don’t the make a cute couple? The smart reasonable princess and the clueless almost warrior. Classic romance!
And very nicely done. I like the lighting.
Now Dan needs to come to Dreamland…WITH Nicole? Oh boy.
I think the “soon” is very good. It’s like showing how they began talking, and then skipping over a bit, they’re now sitting next to each other. Adds a romantic touch.

Scott, the “Soon” is OK, but not really needed. You show a pause, and the panel shows them seated, so they had to spend a few moments at least getting from yesterday to today. Just quiet sitting and thinking and occasional talking, like friends do.
Alex’s expression here looks like the Abominable Christopher Charles XD
