Nicole knows that she is onto something, and will use whatever method to continue the investigation. In the long run, more may happen than she wants to happen.
Hate to say it, but I saw that coming the first time I was reading this. However, predictable it may have been, though, it was necessary in order to keep her involvement in the story. This section of the story also creates some good foreshadowing of what’s to come.
Bit of a low blow, yes, but Nicole is partly justified in this- the guy’s BRAIN TURNED OFF. Well, it’s more complicated than that, but that is kind of a concern. I get it, it’s a comic about dreams and faith and what not, but still, she IS a med student. She’s not really showing herself in a good light, getting defensive with the brother who’s got his head full of possibilities and sees her attempts at rationalizing the situation as a personal attack. No one’s perfect here.
ouch, low blow
>_< Thats uncool….
Ooh, I felt that.
Oh, she’s cruel…but it will benifit Alex, after all. She’s still cruel, though. I cringed.
Dan can still research this thing in the books, Alex will get his extra points and Nicole will get several Nobel prizes.
Do they give Nobel prizes for research on fantasy worlds?

Not the… cryptonite…
@Bmonk: I dunno, but if Tolkien, C.S. Lewis or J.K. Rowling have gotten any awards, you could those ones that way 😛
Jeez, who doesn’t she think needs medical attention?

No…they’ve got it wrong. Nicole’s the idiot, Alex is the nut job, and Daniel needs medical attention.
“She’s a nut job Alex!”
“That’s what I told her!”
Wotta bitch. Surely Alex has better taste than that.
I think that she thinks that they BOTH need medical attention.
Oww…!
XD
