Er, words are written in runes, not on them — a rune is, in essence, just another word for a letter. (And, indeed, those letters look little like runes, which have mostly straight lines and few serifs, since they are designed to be scratched into wood or quickly chiseled into stone with no or very crude tools.)

Theorbtwo, a “Rune” is what the Vikings called a tablet that important writings were carved on. So Bognok calling the tablet a “Rune” is actually quite appropriate.

Sheesh does that guy have some nerve.
