Leave it to a woman to spoil a guy’s fun.
Alex was all set to have fun and POOF…Nastajia uses the dreaded “REASONING” to thwart his plans!
WOMEN!

WOMEN!
woman the greatest thing that happened to this earth since portable tvs 🙂
Well, I hope he can understand her reasoning and won’t be angry at her. But knowing characters like Alex he may be tee’d off a bit. Haha.
What is it with women anyway?? Always wanting people to not die. Ridiculous. LOL
I think that reason actually did penetrate his thisk skull. Amazing.
Daniel should be King of Dreamland. Alex should be out kicking monster heiney. Works much better that way.
ok, this has gone on long enough. alex is the rightful king of all of dreamland, possessing as he does, both the sword and the magic armor. nastajia’s closest advisor has said as much. do the dwarves not recall any of this about the proper dreamland king being human?
why don’t they step up and pay homage to the rightful king of dreamland – then pledge their allegiance? this is the angle nastajia should be working.
it would be funny if he woke up right then.
*lol* Aw man, no big fight…^_^
lol! Yesh, we women are terrible aren’t we? ;-D
Haha Matt…I’m pretty sure us women came before TVs.
😛
Poor Alex. Can’t beat em up now.
It wasn’t the ‘reasoning’ it was the pleading, unspoken promise in those eyes and that pouty, kissable mouth. I may have been known to use them myself a time or two, but just a time or two.
Psh… who needs reasoning. Just start swinging that sword around until there is no more threat. (or maybe something along the lines of calling out that traitors Dawrven leader on One on One combat.)
Grim: No more threat, sure..but also no more life, on the part of Alex and Co.
Michelle: Good idea..Nastajia might work that angle once she gets done talking down Doofus (my pet name for Alex).
typical “Let’s get ’em!” guys 😀
And Staj had better be at her negotiating best after this one!
We women are very good at what we do. Reasoning, manipulation…. ;p Although, I AM a bit worried about the sword falling into the wrong hands now that Alex has dropped it.
“I AM a bit worried about the sword falling into the wrong hands now that Alex has dropped it.”
And I’m worried that Alex will wake up without it and have a tough time getting back to Dreamland.
I’m worried the dwarves will clap them all in irons before Alex falls asleep. Then he comes back swordless, possibly still in irons. I hope Nastajia has a terrific plan. 🙂
Trader Jimm, ponder this one. Alex falls asleep with chains on in Dreamland, wakes up in the real world without chains or maybe like the sword the chains will be morphed into a bracelet. Will he return to Dreamland still in chains, or will they be “lost” in the transitions?
i seriously expected him to start a fight
I have to agree with most on this one, he should have went down swingin, cause nothin says “I’m right” like beating your opinion into your enemy’s skull.
Why did she ask him to drop the sword? Don’t they realize how important that sword is?!
damn logic… my mortal enemy
Hmm if they did fight Alex and Paddington would have had the best chance for survival
or Paddington could just dazzle them with his amazing dancing like he has every other time
Forget dropping it. If you’re not going to fight, make an impression of defiance and stab it into the stone floor!
Lulz, Staj tells him not to fight, and he completely lets his sword go.
They just got through smoochies and Alex is already whipped. xD
Hah! I called it and I didn’t even read this page first!
Let’s see: Alex has trust issues from Daniel, both of them from Nicole, the kid (with Spotty) doesn’t trust telling Alex where she lives, Nastajia doesn’t trust Felicity, now she’s asking Alex to trust her. Nice web of trust/mistrust going on here.
Sword: “OW!”
Hey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =C
the line in the third panel ises a double negative where it should be a single.
she’s essentially saying, “if we could take them, i’d say surrender.”
take out the second not and see how the line feels.
wouldn’t have spoken up but to improve what is a fantastic story.
Hmm… Had I been Alex, I would have attached the sword to the back of my armor, as he is wont to do – and see if the dwarves can take it off of him. It is possible that they might be unable to detach the sword from the armor – that only the High King could do that. Not only would that keep the sword in his possession, but it would be a powerful argument for his status as the true High King.
Of course, that might not be good enough for the dwarves, and he might have to detach it and hand it over, but at least it’s an attempt – and it beats throwing your priceless and irreplaceable magical shiny to the floor with a loud KA-KLANK.
and then we see the sword sticking up outta the graound
Alex: oops. cuts through anything….heh, uh… sorry bout your floor….
Alex… sword goes on back, not on floor. You do NOT wanna lose that thing.
She probably did not expect Alex to literally drop it.
