Psi Kix…
Hey all…
I was wondering how many of you (those who can download from Wowio) have had a chance to read Psi Kix.
It’s actually a fun couple of books we did a few years ago.
We were given the video footage of a Korean tv show and asked to turn it into a manga sized book using the actual footage.
It’s the actual script from the tv show…and art.
But with the CGI and Anime elements…I thought it came out fun.
I’m considering doing some more eventually. But in the last 2 years I’ve been doing Dreamland. And the year I’ve had them up on Wowio…I never thought to ask anyone’s opinion.
So…thoughts?
Sadly, anyone outside the US can’t get at Wowio… though I’ve been petitioning the bar… stewards for ages to get it. I’ll look as soon as I can, you have my guarantee 😀
Smart man, that Daniel. He’s right about science. That’s exactly what it is.
Heh. I have a sort of swirly square-thing! Cool! 😀
This should test if I get the same one… Name derived, perhaps?
We have personalized squares!! That’s so awesome! I was wondering if they were consistent…
As for the PSI-KIX… I haven’t read it. I have Wowio and I occasionally download Dreamland, but I don’t really enjoy mech comics.
I have read PSI-KIX, and I must say that I enjoyed it immensely. It did seem to be a bit predictable at times, but now that you’ve mentioned that it was derived from a Korean TV show, that makes a bit more sense.
Anyway, I would love to see further episodes of PSI-KIX. It’d be even cooler if you started posting it online, like you do for Dreamland.
P.S. I wonder what my little mosaic square will look like?
Ooh. Pretty.
The above was made with a different e-mail. This is made with the original e-mail, but with a space between Lazer and Wulf.
(different email address)
How do we get personalized icons? Are these squares directly linked with the forum? If I put a personalized icon in my forum profile, would it carry to this discussion board?
If it’s not name based (The squares, I mean) then it’s probably cookie based. I’d still bet on name, though. It counts letters and ignores spaces, most likely…
LazerWulf…
Thanks for the review.
Yes I didn’t write any of it. But I thought it was a fun concept. ANd enjoyed putting the books together.
As for your mosaic icons. I have no idea what they are.
I would assume that you guys can have real avatars if you log in to a Word Press account and create your own like I do.
*wonders what her square will look like*
I have to say, Alex’s bro can get a little bit cheesy at times, even if he’s right. I wonder if Nicole’s thinking the same thing… lol
Heh. Nicole’s giving them the Spock Look in the last panel. Great.
Spock Look is a funny way to describe it ^^
I’m totally not posting this to see what my mosaic looks like!……
Hm, apparently they’re algorithmically created – I guess they’re based in your name, e-mail address or ID (I’m testing this theory by changing my name now; If the mosaic is still the same, then it may be one of the other attributes).
Scott, more information here: http://wordpress.com/blog/2008/05/04/default-avatars/
You should give the monsters a try ^^
Thanks Protected!
We now have MONSTERS!
🙂
Cool! I’m not sure about my weird jumping pawn thing, though… I kinda liked the squares… 😀
I liked the squares too. =/
It seems to be based solely on your email address… so that each user will have a unique icon, but be consistent on different computers. I’m rather intrigued by the personal icons.
(opps, I need to fix my email address)
*also wonders what his auto-generated avatar might be*
:gasp: how did it know I have three eyes!?!
Nicole and Daniel…
Love is in the air… Hum…
The last two panels of Thursday’s page win. The exchanged smiles are nice; they’re finally coming to an understanding.
As Raphael mentioned, love is in the air. And it beckons fangirls. I recommend acquiring a bunker to safe-guard your awesomeness. ^___^
As for Psi-Kix, I have sadly not read the books (being a Canadian and all); I have watched the original show (with a friend rapidly translating ^^0) and if it’s pretty much stills and dialogue from the show, I think it’ll be a nice project to continue.
