Our boys are all grown up…
Tuesday morning my wife and I are taking our twin boys to their first day of….*choke*….pre-school.
We’re absolutely paralized.
I can’t believe they’re going to be gone (it’s only 4 hours a day for 3 days a week…but STILL!).
I’m just so used to having them home with me. Ugh.
Brendan has his Power Rangers lunchbox and Logan has his Cars lunchbox all ready to go.
Little Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches will fill them in the morning.
Anyways. If I’m out of sorts a bit tomorrow responding to posts or emails…you know why.
I’m SO not ready….sigh.
don’t worry you’ll make it ๐
You’re such a mom
I just dropped in to say that i have become a hughe fan of your comic.
I been reading diffrent comics over the net for years now and this one is by far one of the best. Keep the awsome work up. I didnt find a better place to post this so i took the first shot possible. I will spread the word around about this comic and will try to buy a toy or two for support =)
Greetings from the cold country Finland
It’s ok, they’ll be fine, they have each other and think of all the friends they’ll be making.. I remember my time in Preschool, I loved it.. we had class pets.. and little baby chicks.. and so much fun..
Now Kindergarten… that’s a different story entirely..
I remember crying I was so lost without my mommy ๐
So cheer up, you got a year or two before the string attaching you really starts to fray.
I know how you feel, amigo. My twins just started college this semester. Eighteen years later and the feeling is exactly the same. A week from now youรขโฌโขll be looking forward to hearing about what they did in school.
Awwwwww
I remember Kindergarten. Never went to preschool.
I don’t think everybody needs to go to preschool. I know a family of four kids who all went and learned nothing but a few four-letter words and how to catch a cold and pink eye. Make sure you know what’s going on.
It really must depend on the school. And the kids. And what they learned at home already.
Preschool is soo much fun! I went for 3 years (My bday is in january and since I was potty trained they accepted me a year early) and have happy memories(from what I can remember). And remember, it’ll be easier for them because no matter, they have each other.
Hang in there. Think of what a relief it will be in twelve years, when they can finally drive themselves to school
Yesterday I stumbled upon this site through it’s Project Wonderful link.
So I spent a couple of hours reading through the 480+ pages. I love the art and the story has that fairytail charm to it (10th Kingdom or Jack anyone?). So I just wanted to show my support.
Well…the boys came home happy.
After a bit of crying (by my wife…not me!) we made it through the day.
I think they’ll be just fine.
I just hope we can get used to it.
๐
Thank you to everyone for their encouragement. I really appreciate it.
You guys are great.
Oh…and Rasmus!
Thank you for stopping by and posting.
So glad you liked Dreamland. And great to know we have more people from Finland.
You guys have a great Hockey team and brought us Teemu Selane!
My wife’s in LOVE with him (seriously…she’d leave me for him if he asked)
Anyways….thank you for the support!
Greetings!
I’ve stumbled over your wonderful comic and spent nearly all night reading it. The art is beautiful, the story intriguing and now I find myself not being able to wait for the next page! Please keep it up, and congratulations on your boys’ first day. It’s hard to send your little ones off, even if it is for a little while. But just wait until they get in to high school! >D
Best regards!
Heather
Hi, I just wanted to say that i love (!) this comic… i remember having same sort (not in that large area) of dreams… it was veery exciting and i never wanted to wake up… when i did my heart was broken, i had everything better in the dream (cute girl friend =) (notice: not girlfriend)). and i felt lonely when i woke up. so thats why i love this comic becouse i had sort of same feelings than Alex.
Sorry that this post was suck a novel ๐
and thats such, not suck ๐
and when i read some comments i rly like to state that i have used to a different sort of posting so thats why the odd name ” Oh my god” ๐ sorry… and greetings from finland. 17 of us reading this comic here where i live in ๐
Awww… I hope they had fun!
I didn’t go to pre-school but I didn’t want to leave my first day of kindergarden because I wasn’t finished coloring my butterfy picture! It was mostly purple, that’s all I remember. ๐
Woohoo, hooray for early cognitive development!
There’s theories and brainwaves and stuff…
But have you ever had a dream that you thought was so real…what if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you tell the difference between dreamland and the real land?
you can do it! *hugs* they’re growing up!
Greetings and salutations from sunny Singapore…
yes, readers exist even in the far reaches…
i wanted to just say how much i love this comic! it is such an imaginative and impressive story with an intriquet plot…
that and i share the name with the protagonist so that helps…XD
erm…about pre-schools (and schools in general) be careful and always ask your kids what happened in the day (helps build familial closeness) and watch out: teachers can be rather radical and (in my expirience) at times be well…evil?
a friend of mine in pre-school was tied up and locked in the store room for a day because acidentally tripped the teacher. then the same teacher told him he would burn in hell if he told his parents…
you get the idea…i’m just saying be wary of teachers too…this is from my childhood expirience, i haven’t any kids so i guess there are parts i wouldn’t understand…
anyway, wonderous comic and i wish your children a happy pre-school.
Best wishes Scott…(can i call ya that?)
Makes you feel old, doesn’t it? My oldest son started second grade this week, and my younger one started kindergarten, too. On one hand it’s so neat to see them growing up, on the other hand you want them to stay little monkeys forever.
Keep up the good work, Scott!
Kiwi: “So what do you want to talk about?”
Alex: “Oh, the unstoppable force of destruction about to drop on your village…oh yeah, and my relative is there, we’re trying to see what kind of lag Dreamland has.”
Completely unrelated to everything:
Wishbone has returned to PBS!
Preschool children need to learn what an amazing show this is. And Everybody else can revisit the greatness.

Sory if my english is bad –;;
Welcome to the new people!
Yay!
Also thank you for the continued encouragement and fun.
*grins*
