Pics of the new place…
Some of you had asked to see some pics of the new place…so here are just a couple.
Here’s the house…the kids…and my wife (in the screened in porch) from the backyard. (Click to see larger images)
Here’s the office. A lot to unpack.
Here’s a close up of my monitor.
As you can see…I’m working on Dreamland….yay!
On th left monitor you can see the computer is rendering a frame with Alexander. It calculates the lighting, shadows, and everything in Boxes.
On the right screens I’m working on layouts and lettering.
On the laptop…music and email.
๐
I’ll post more pics of me and the kids soon. I’m usually behind the camera…so there’s very little shots of me. But I’ll try to get my scruffy mug up here soon.
Have a great weekend.
Wow, your house is amazing! And I love your computer layout. ๐
1. YOU’RE HOUSE IS FRIGGIN HUGE!
2. I WANT YOUR COMPUTERS
3. You’re kids look like they are having a lot of fun on the hill ๐
4. Hopefully you unpack quickly! It took my boyfriend and I 1 whole day to unpack everything we owned.. however.. you have a lot more stuff I’m sure ๐
Have a great day!
Mel
Whoa! amazing house! I love the trees and the HUGE backyard!! You’re office has so much potential. Wow.
Thanks so much for sharing the pictures with us!! Be sure to frollick in those woods sometime soon and tell us what lurks beyond.
Cool house and computer setup. Ever since I started reading this I have had question on my mind ; What program do you use to make the comic or is that a government secret as my girlfriend puts it? Either way good job on the comic and the house looks cool.
Welcome to Tennessee! I work at Grand Adventures Comics in Murfreesboro, and I understand from Grant, the owner, that you came by. I’m sad that I missed you, and I hope you’ll come back by again.

What a beautiful place you have! I’m afraid to show it to my wife because it’s the kind of place she wants. I grew up with a big backyard like that so I KNOW the boys will have endless adventures out there! Thanks for the pictures.
wow nice choice in houses. I must say I am envieous. But 4 computer monitors? Wow that is over doing it. You should give me one ๐

Kristle – one DAY???!?!
God, when I last moved (in 1998) it took me MONTHS before I unpacked the last few things/boxes. I just didn’t feel like it, and if I didn’t really need it… why bother?
Love your house, Scott! You lucky b*tard! ๐
Why such a small house? No, really, that place is ginormous. I don’t think there’s a single room in my house as large as that office (okay, maybe the living room is that big), and I’m assuming that it’s probably one of the smaller ones. The house and yard are beautiful.
My dad has three monitors and a laptop set up in his office, and all of my friends think he’s insane. I don’t see why. It’s quite useful.
Thank you so much all.
It is indeed a large house. MUCH more than we could have EVER afforded in Los Angeles.
We don’t have enough furniture for it…ha ha.
Thanks for the well wishing and hellos.
I was thinking maybe I’ll take a video of how I make a page one of these days. That should be fun.
Jason…
Sorry i missed you.
I’ll definitely be coming back.
Thanks
Scott
Dude, Scott… I never thought anyone would ever present me with evidence that it might be nicer to live in Tennessee than in Long Beach, but then I saw your house and yard.
HOLY CRAP, MAN!
It’s absolutely gorgeous! I know it’ll be a fabulous place for your kids to finish growing up, too. Go Savas!
Hi Scott,
Congratz with your palace ๐ When is the home-warming-party? ๐
Good Luck! You still have a Belgian fan of your work!
You gotta love the housing market changes when you move out of California…
It’s a beautiful home, and an awesome yard. Enjoy every minute of it! You will love the screened porch as the summer progresses, the bugs get pretty bad sometimes. Also if you’re lucky you’ll get to watch heat lightning at night, that was one of my favorite things to do during the summer.

Oh YES!!! PLEEEAAASE DO!
Nice house, I hope you’re all very happy there, it looks lovely
wow, gorgeous house! It looks like it’d be fantastic for parties & BBQs and such!
Bez – and Scott if you need it – I have a trick for you, as I have the same problem with unpacking things. After its been in a box for a while, I forget what I’ve got and figure I don’t need it. So, within the first few days of moving, empty *every* single box you’ve got. Don’t worry about finding a place for everything – just dump it onto the floor if its not clothes.
This works better in a carpeted area. It makes it easier to find things that go together when putting things away, and also makes you realize just how much you have (if the move didn’t do it), helping you to get rid of things. And for me, the mess annoys me enough to motivate me to put things away – within a week or two, not months after moving when I’d be otherwise content to leave it tidy in a box in the corner.
Of course, this is not the young-kid-friendly option, but if you can do it, it works great. =)
scott makes me want to go to tennessee…. how wonderfully green…
