If so, then they’ll be heading off to find Nastajia’s parents soon. Unless I’m really mistaken about that conversation, or really misinterpreting Nastajia’s reference.
Great detail with the sword in the second panel, by the way, Scott. Although it’d amuse me on some level if the eye was open behind Nastajia’s hair.
First off, holy cow that conversation is still relevant? Secondly, I don’t remember an instance where the elven kingdom was named. I could have forgotten that, entirely possible, but still. Third and finally, it took us long enough to find a name for a character that the character didn’t care much for. Hooray! Party time!

So, Nastajia doesn’t like “Staj” for short. How ’bout using the first syllable of her name instead? “Hey, Nasty!”

Heheheh… I’m guessing she’d have an even bigger problem with that one. Actually, I can’t imagine Nastajia would take kindly to being referred to as ‘nasty’ in any context! 😛
Looks like she’s finally going to start/resume the search for her folks though, especially as what Nicodemus said implies that they’re still trapped/alive somewhere, eeep! *-*
I think what she is referring to is the part where he said “just tell me what to do and I’ll do it” hehe.

well Nastajia’s “armor” is part of her clothing, i think, and if Alex took his off he’d be walking around in his underwear.
Is that the conversation where Alex in Staj finally kissed? If so, then yes, I’m absolutly POSITIVE he remembers everything before that kiss. *heavy sarcasam*
That would have been a great comeback for Alex. I’m sure that would have earned a delicious glare from “Nasty.”
I try to get that kind of glare from my wife all the time, and she obliges. I crack up every time! 🙂
should i worry about the state of nastajia and alex relationship considering how snappy she got with him over “staj”?
I think that it is actually crucial for them to try to find her parents now as quickly as possible, so this makes perfect sense. This is especially true since they couldn’t find Nicodemus’ body, so they must assume he is alive and has flown off. Since he probably wants revenge against Nastajia more than anything right now (seeing as she not only ran him through with a sword, but also stopped him from eliminating the only adult human), it should be assumed that he would try to get back at her by killing her parents as quickly as he could.
I thought Nick was their only lead towards finding her parents. Maybe ‘Staj’ has another clue.
We learned the name “Ashendel” loooooong ago…when Alex was taken back there after his first fight with the pirates. 🙂 I wouldn’t have been able to tell you that was the name of the elven kingdom (or is it just the name of the throne seat?) if pressed though. I’d have had to look it up. 🙂
Nah…that’s no biggie. I get a little snappy with my fiancé when he calls me by some name or nickname I don’t like. I’m slowly learning that if I shrug it off, he’ll stop calling me those things, but sometimes I can’t help the waspish reaction. 🙂 Nastajia’s a bit more haughty than I am (and with good reason since she’s royalty), so it only makes sense that she wouldn’t shrug off something she felt was demeaning or insulting. They’ll be fine. 🙂

I LOVE this comic so much, but the colour of Nast’s lips is grating on me. It’s so unnnatural when its shiny, and wayyyy too pale for her skin colour :/. Sorry not meaning to be mean. I loves you don’t hates me >.<

I think this is where the tower conversation starts. It’s nice to read back on old comics to find this.

Even better then what I was thinking. For Alex’s sake, I hope he remembers. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her so angry after being called Staj. He might find himself helping the mermaid search for Nick.

You can see how the updated Nastajia Model is soooo much better now, in comparison with the model used in the tower scene.
Ok… in the WoW department… one can almost forget how much artwork of any artist improves over time, even in the rendered realm. The tower scene artwork was actually quite well done, but you’ve improved your overall rendering and effects so much over five years that I was blown away by the contrast. Just gets better and better.

This is true, he got some thing a bit smaller than a Prius slammed in to his head at about 50+ miles an hour. I have no clue what that would be out side the US so, US numbers is what you get.
Well technically Nastajia does have new eyes….
I was about to post the same thing. The difference is jaw-breaking.
(50 miles) * (1.696 km / 1 mile) = (50 * 1.696) km = 84.8 km, so about 85kph.
Math, ftw.
