I will repeat yesterday’s comment. I have a bad feeling about this…
I’m glad I don’t have that responsibility. I’m sure I would accidentally lose it.
@Limax, sadly, so do I. Please, Alex, please, DO NOT SCREW THIS UP!! If Nastajia has no problem pushing you down a rock face, she can easily do more, even without the armor on.
Orion wrote “I told you not to read this, Alexander. Now, give it to Daniel like I told you in the first place…
By the way: Ha! I was about to go to bed when I checked DC again and Ding! Updated. Now there’s a bigger smile on my face.
Alex: Oh! Gee! Thanks, Orion. No pressure or nothing.
great job with todays comic. can’t wait till tomorrows post!!!!!! 🙂
Sweet. It has been a while since he woke up. How will they react to physical proof…
I can imagine — with great dread — Nikki tearing it up into tiny little pieces out of disbelief and anger.
(Nicole rather.)
And now Alexander is destined to lose the pouch, no? Probably in some ridiculous, high improbable way.
– Also, love the comic!
I was just wondering about something – why is Orion the only one who can talk to the sword? Why does he know how and someone like the king of the mer people at Naroobi for example doesn’t? And where did Orion get this knowledge from? Can Alex learn how to talk to the sword?
Will these questions be answered in the comic?
I think these questions are important, even if they are only answered indirectly, as they may reveal a lot about the story of this comic. But I might be the only one who thinks so.
1. DUDE! Put the pouch in the glove!
2. IRT Sythiar, DUDE! (DUDET?) He is an ancient of the centuars with knowledge of the “old ways” of the Native Americans.. you remember, speaking to the spirits.. like in the old westerns! He speaks to the spirit in the sword duh! 🙂 .. Just kidding but, thats my take on it!
Oh boy.. usually when the hero is told not to do something it almost always happens! *crosses fingers and toes!*
I really hope he doesn’t lose the pouch. That would almost be too much.
Does he have to hold it in his hand, or can he wear it around his neck so he doesn’t drop it?
I can just see Nicodemus crashing this little party and making him lose the bag. Ugh.
I’m I just realised that all of this is pointing towards the idea that magic of some description is usable in the real world. If there is some sort of curse on Dan and the bag was created using magic from both worlds then maybe there will be some sort of real world quest to remove the curse using magic.
This is I like.
I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THIS BAG MAKE IT TO THE REAL WORLD!!!!!
TedRx
ps. Still voting for Pirate Teddy Bear Wallpaper … I promise to only repeat this ONCE a week until you weaken and give in … lol
Morning all!
Wow…I hadn’t realized how much you guys might read into some of this.
I promise…Alexander does NOT lose the pouch.
🙂
It’s all good.
I agree with Dannie. No pressure. Scott this is wonderful. I am really enjoying the strip.
Leftover = LOL! Good one.
Just noticed in the name of the pouch, Alik-chi. Alex chi? Probably nothing.
And hey, we’re down to 4th? If you’re reading this and haven’t voted yet, stop reading this and vote! 😉
If you’re reading this and you’ve already voted, then you can keep reading this.
If you’re reading this and voting in a different window LOOK OUT, BEHIND YOU! Made ya look.
haha, i didn’t realize i was holding my breath all along until i read Scott’s comment + relaxed XD
Alex, wanting to keep Dreamland to himself, forges the response on behalf of his brother. He maintains the ruse and gathers loyal followers, but is eventually discovered. The Centaurs try to reclaim the medicine bag, leading to a battle between Alex and the Centaurs. They search for and find another way to contact his brother, taking the battle into the waking world . . .
🙂
Uh oh! Do I sense that Alex might have the chance to lose the pouch in the near future? 😉
I am really tired of Alexander being such a tool. I hope he shapes up soon.
Cool, Daniel is taking the dream sequence under Nicole’s supervision to prove he doesn’t dream and will receive the message from Dreamland. They then undertake to get Daniel to Dreamland to play his part in this adventure.
What about Nicole and Felicity?
The good part is Alex won’t lose the medicine bag; the bad part? There’s some advertising on the slip of paper Orion gave to Dan(because advertising is everywhere nowadays).
Alex is being petulant because his brother gets to see his magical special place, that’s all. (Least, that’s what it looks like to me)
This is Alex’s first attempt at responsibility. I’m so proud of him!
I hope that Daniel gets to come to Dreamland. He could probably teach his brother to fly. =)
Okay, so the bag will travel with Alex between the waking world and dreamland. What happens if Daniel (who doesn’t dream at all, he’s said) holds the bag when he sleeps?
“You lost the Bahta Alikchi, Alexander. *sigh*”
“I didn’t lose it! Dan lost it, not me!”
love that idea, its gonna speed up dynamics among main figures 😀
And he squishes it to dust with his mighty hand… so long, 1000 years old medicine bag. ;P
Orion can speak with the sword because he’s the shaman of the centaurs. You know, knowledge of the magical, mystical and a good grasp of headology. 😉
Huh. It really seems like that’s foreshadowing of Alex losing the bag. But we’re told it’s not, so it’s not.
Just a note: Alex has blue teeth again in this comic.
I just began reading this about a week ago, and i can’t get enough. ^_^ I’ve read everything twice.
There seems to be so many ways Alex can screw this thing up. The most likely is for him to read one or more of the messages. I am almost certain that will happen at some point. There’s also the possibility he could be tempted to write something in there and pretend it was from the other person, after reading a message that bothers him somehow. Then he could lose the bag (although Scott has said that won’t happen – whew).
In short, Alex is being handed responsibility.
So, no pressure on losing it, right? ^,^
so dan finally has a chance to prove to nichole…
Um… I understand how this could be useful to bring a message to Dan. However, I see no reason why Dan couldn’t just write on an ordinary piece of paper, put it in an envelope, and have Alex hold the envelope when he falls asleep. I mean, he should appear in dreamland with whatever he’s wearing or holding in his hands.
I am sorry guys&gals but its adventure game reference time..I have to say it!
ORION BURGER…there..it’s out of the way now
